Please take note of the following considerations to obtain an apostille from the office of Kate Brown, Oregon Secretary of State in Salem.
Considerations for notarized documents: Please request a notary public to notarize your documents with an acknowledgment or jurat, make sure the notary signs, stamps and dates the notarization.

Considerations for vital records birth, death, marriage or dissolution of marriage certificate must be certified records signed by State Registrar for Vital Records or alternatively by the Oregon Health Statistics center in Portland.

Please note that certified copies issued over 10 years ago are acceptable.

Please note that certified copies of vital records issued by the county will not be acceptable.

Considerations for Academic records: We will be happy to assit you authenticating a transcript or diploma form the University of Oregon, Oregon State University, Portland State University, Oregon Health & Science University, Reed College, Willamette University and Lewis & Clark College among others, please contact the person in your school in charge of records and ask them to please notarize a copy of your documents.

Considerations for business documents: We can assist you with obtaining apostilles for business documents for corporate such as: Certificates of merger, Registration of trademarks, Articles of incorporation or organization.

Considerations for divorce Documents: Must be signed by a circuit clerk or circuit judge.
