To obtain an apostille from the office of the great Seal with the Secretary of State Ruth Johnson in Lansing for documents such as notaries public, county and deputy clerks, Wayne, Oakland and Macomb County City registrar and the current state registrar please follow the guidelines:

Considerations for vital records: Vital records such as birth, marriage, divorce and death certificates must be certified copies issued recently preferably, within the last 36 months, and must be signed by the current State Registrar Glenn Copeland and Lawrence Kesternbaum, County Clerk register.
