M visa usually allow you to stay in China for up to 60 days per visit, and allow multiple entries for a term up to 10 years for US passport and Canadian passport holders. Passport holders from other countries will usually be issued single valid for 3 months or double entry valid for 6 months. 10 years visa is not guaranteed. The total length of a visa is at the sole discretion of the Consulate, and they may issue a limited entry or shorter duration visa. The requirements for Business (M) visa are detailed below.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do not staple any of the documents together. The Consulate will reject all stapled applications. Paperclips may be used.<\/h4>\r\n<p><strong>Please note that the checklist for visa applications can vary. Visa officers from different countries make decisions based on each applicant&#8217;s specific circumstances. Once we understand your situation, we will provide the best possible solution, but we cannot guarantee 100% success in obtaining a visa. Make sure you are as prepared as possible for your trip to China.<\/strong> &#8211; 10\/7\/2024<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1: Original Passport Plus a Photocopy of the Name Page<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<h2>\r\n\r\n<\/h2>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Please include the original passport. The visa will be printed on your passport.<\/li>\r\n<li>It is recommended that passports have at least 6 months left before expiration.<\/li>\r\n<li>The passport should have at least 2 blank visa pages. Please keep in mind, this does not include the last 3 pages, as those are reserved by the US Department of State.<\/li>\r\n<li>If you have previously held a Chinese Visa, please provide a photocopy of previous Chinese visa.<\/li>\r\n<li>If previous Chinese visa is on an old passport, photocopy of old passport is required.<\/li>\r\n<li>If you have a VALID Chinese visa on an old passport and would like to apply for a new visa, you will need to submit both old and current original passports.<\/li>\r\n<li>Non-US passport holders must provide a photocopy of their proof of legal stay in the US. Green card, full copy off I-20 or long term US visa such as: L, H, F, TN. B1\/B2 visa will not be eligible. Please do not send original unless the Chinese Consulate specifically request it.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4>Certain Non-US passport holders cannot apply for a visa through third parties or are blocked entry to China: we recommend to send an email inquiry or wait for Consulate announcements.<\/h4>\r\n<h2>\r\n\r\n<\/h2>\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\r\n<h2>\r\n\r\n<\/h2>\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2: Your Visa Application Form<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<h2>\r\n\r\n<\/h2>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Link to form: <a href=\"http:\/\/cova.mfa.gov.cn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cova.mfa.gov.cn<\/a><\/li>\r\n<li>Fill out the application on your computer, print it, and sign it manually. Do not complete the form by hand, and avoid using digital signatures.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>Ensure all fields are filled in. If a section is not relevant to you, enter &#8220;None&#8221; or &#8220;N\/A.&#8221;<\/li>\r\n<li>After completing the form, do not click &#8220;Continue.&#8221; Instead, click &#8220;Save&#8221; and provide us with both the application number and your passport number. The form must be reviewed by us before submission.<\/li>\r\n<li>Please note, non-U.S. passport holders are only eligible to apply for Single or Double Entry visas.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3: One Recent Passport Photo<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>The photo needs to contain your full face on a white background. The photo cannot be older than 6 months.<\/li>\r\n<li>Your local drugstore (such as Walgreens or CVS) are great places to get a passport photo taken.<\/li>\r\n<li>Please attach the photo to the application with a paperclip. Do not staple.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p>Please see: <a href=\"https:\/\/chinaentryvisa.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/ChinaVisaPhotoRequirements.pdf\">Chinese Visa Photo requirements<\/a><\/p>\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/><!-- \/wp:post-content -->\r\n<h2><strong>4: Address Verification<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list -->\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Photocopy of driver&#8217;s license or state ID<\/li>\r\n<li>If you do not have either of the above, you may submit a utility bill<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list --><hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/><!-- \/wp:list -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:heading -->\r\n<h2><strong>5: Invitation Letter from China<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":4} -->\r\n<h4>One of the following invitation letters is required:<\/h4>\r\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list -->\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>An invitation letter of duly authorized unit issued by the Chinese Government.<\/li>\r\n<li>A formal invitation letter issued by a company or institution in mainland China.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":4} -->\r\n<h4>Invitation letter issued by the Chinese company or institution\u00a0must include the following:<\/h4>\r\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true} -->\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Applicant&#8217;s personal information such as: name, date of birth, passport number, full name of the company which the applicant works for in the US and the job title.<\/li>\r\n<li>Major purpose of visit.<\/li>\r\n<li>Cities the applicant will be visiting.<\/li>\r\n<li>Date of arrival and departure (only dates for the first trip is needed).<\/li>\r\n<li>Relationship between the sending company in the US and Chinese company that is inviting the applicant.<\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">State who will bear the costs of the applicant&#8217;s accommodations in China.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li>China&#8217;s inviting person&#8217;s information such as: full name, job title, detail company address, fax , phone number of the inviting person.<\/li>\r\n<li>Official seal of the company and signature of the inviting person.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Invitation letter from Chinese company or institution must be printed on official letterhead, showing company address,<\/li>\r\n<li>phone and\/or fax number. The letter must also have the official seal of the company or institution.<\/li>\r\n<li>The invitation letter should avoid using words such as &#8220;training&#8221;, &#8220;working&#8221; or &#8220;internship&#8221;.<\/li>\r\n<li>High quality scan or copy of the invitation letter is acceptable in most cases.
